I've been thinking about this recently and thought it was a interesting idea.

Do you think people should have numbers instead of names?

they allready do. dunno the english word for it, in norwegian we simply call them "personal number", i think americans call them "social security number"

theyre a totally unique number, only for you ;)

find out what your number is, judging by your age, you havent yet had to memorize it, but that day comes :)

I'm talking about completely getting rid of names and replacing them with numbers, so like when a baby is born they would have a number on their birth certificate and people would use the number to address people.

i know, i know, i was just being a smartass :]

a swedish mother tried to name her kid some impossible string of numbers. swedish law prevented it tho.
once your an adult, you can change your name to absolutely anything, at least here, but im imagining it goes for most western nations.
a guy i know changed his middle name to "Robot" and a norwegian celebrity changed his sirname to "Vaersegodtakkskalduha" which means "hereyougothankyouverymuch"

im pretty sure numbers would be accepted :D

If you ever rule the world, DeLorean, please don't give us numbers. I'm horrible with numbers, but I'm great with names.

If I ever get called a number I'd like to be called 8. :D Can't imagine what you'd call someone if they were 183332347348734324t6346434308 though.

I honestly don't see the point in this, people complain about being known as the number. I definitely don't like the idea,

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Autism Speaks will NEVER speak for me
