Anyone here like walkie-talkies?

I love walkie-talkies.

When I have one, I have the urge to act all official, as though I'm organising an event or part of a police force. Then again, I haven't used one since I was wee.

I have always loved them!! !

We used Motorolas a lot during military training exercises and convoys, etc... Fun stuff, particularly when we'd decide to break radio procedure and just goof around and say foolish things like 10-4 and play music over it and stuff.

So yeah, I like walkie talkies! I was also one of the experts on radio procedure at my unit so I could sound pretty cool and official when using them.

yeah i did like them i own some 6 years ago and i would talk to random people i never met in my life on there its pretty fun and i would make up weird names for myself too.

I like walkie talkies. I also like portables. Which are the kind of radios we use for fire calls. When we go to parades or when we go to flea markets. We will each have one hooked to us or when we need to go some where we have a portable hooked on us. I kinda like it that way. When we went camping we used to have a walkie talkie around our neck ( when we were little and ti was on a shoe lace). My pap has a set that my cousin often takes one when he goes to play outside.

I so remember those small gray toy walkie-talkies. Everyone had them on my street, one time when My brother and I where playing with our walkie-talkies we heard someone else's voice, it was a kid we knew that lived down the road.

It was so freaky and fun.

I love walkie talkies. I don't use them but that doesn't mean I can't love them.

If you want to contact another person for free then they are great, although I don't know how large the range is on some of the better models, though I could always research it. Come to think of it, if it is super expensive, no money would be saved anyway, but the potential has always been there.

I dreamed of having one as a child. I remember I made one out of paper and tape with painted buttons on it and stuffed it with cotton, lol!

Yeah, I have a pair of cheap ones that operate on 446MHz

I also have 2 CB Radios which I love, one of which is a walkie-talkie type thing BUT it doesn't work right now
