I was wondering if anyone here collects BJDs...for those of you who don't know BJDs are dolls handmade in Asia that are made of resin...they are fully poseable and their joints are all ball and socket joints.

They are fully customizeable...make up, hair, eyes, EVERYTHING. I love the imagination associated with the hobby!

Here are the pics of some of my dolls:

I really like them but can't afford another hobby right now. It would be cool to make/sell clothes for them. Yours are really cute!

I want one so bad. But like the person above me, I can't afford them. I've wanted one forever. I wish I could get one, but they, and their accessories are so, so, expensive.

Because she's cool like that.

I mostly get mine second hand...I make jewelry for them and stuff...it's really fun. I'm practicing painting their faces too!

I wondered if anyone else here collected ABJDs. I do as well. I currently have seven.

Is anyone here a member of DOA?

oh my god, the odds of one of these opening up here?!
Well, I am a bit of a doll collector myself-soon I'm getting my first BJD (when I get paid)
right now I got 4 porcelain ones
when I bought the first one I didn't understand the difference
(I'm a guy, I shouldn't have to lol)
I really want a rozen maiden bjd, but they are hard to come by

Most people seem to express how creepy they look.

I personally think they're kind of cute, much prettier with an almost antique/vintage look. Nothing like those Bratz dolls...

I want one of those, now!

I'll have to wait 4 weeks to buy one, to get two paycheques under my belt. :)

what I like about them is how customisable they are, unlike porcelain dolls for example
kind of hard for me to get one openly, being a guy and all lol

I've been obsessing over them for about a year or two, and I would like to own some and really get into the hobby. But my mom handles my finances, and she says "What's the point in buying dolls? What can you do with them other than let them sit there?"

well these ones move and pose and, its your money, and since you're of age its illegal for your mother to withhold it from you
no one knows, or cares what I buy, unless its drugs I guess but I don't do drugs
weird thing would be a doll showing up and someone else being home
curious what it was they'd ask and I'd be f****d if it had a label or somethin' on it lol
