Spots on your giraffe neck? :?

Neck pain is something I'm all too familiar with - I was awaiting surgery to have bone chiselled from inside my spinal column due to it compressing my spinal cord. Thankfully it went into remission and the surgery got put on hold. The pain was horrific - bits of bone digging into the spinal cord. The least of my worries were the restricted movement; I spent several months unable to move my head at all and had to move my entire body due to my neck being completely seized up. This was several years ago now but I still have to take great care of my neck so as not to trigger major problems.

What has happened to your neck?

It was just an expression about how horrible the pain was. I slept on my neckers wrong, I dont know if you've ever done that but from the sound of it you have something far more topic worthy. wow dude, sorry about your spine. and as you have said neck pain is no laughing matter. I need shaquille oneals commercial around me hot little neck. :geek:

I have to be very careful how I sleep regarding my neck. It has been impossible to sleep on my back for many years now because it causes severe pain after several minutes. I also can't sleep too long on my left side or the position of my vertebra start to compress the nerves that feed my left arm and it starts to paralyse the arm.

I think the damage was related to several motorcycle accidents in my youth. It has become compounded with arthritis and the formation of bone spurs on my vertebrae that dig into the nerves.

Look after your neck; the pain it can generate is indescribable (morphine level to control the pain).

Sounds like you need a better pillow.
