It is used in tweeters, as well as in hard drives I believe. There's another kind of related (but different) magnetic fluid known as MR fluid which is pretty cool in that it's used in some high end car's shock absorbers; by subjecting it to a magnetic field, you can vary the viscosity of the fluid and therefore change the suspension characteristics. Cool stuff.
