I gave myself a solstice gift last night and decided to give myself one for each day until the new year. When I counted, I got 12. I counted 12 days from Christmas and got nothing! January 5? Nothing. So I propose to myself and anyone who wants to play, to give yourself 12 real or imaginary gifts for each day from solstice through new years day. If it works with the melody, that'll be even more fun

On the first day of solstice, a pirate gave to me:
An odd looking ball point pen.

5 golden toques
4 pounds of backbacon
3 French toast
2 turtlenecks
And a beer ...in a tree
