Normally, I am the sort of person who cannot speech or preform infront of anybody. That is why I am in the drama class, because my teachers and parents though that it might give me a little more confidence.

Well, today was the first assessment task. For the past few weeks we have been preparing in groups to do a preformance that goes for 2-3 minutes, and is based on a poem about the destruction of the environment. My group decided to be a little more creative, and I ended up playing the 'voices in their head'.

I didn't think I would acutally be able to preform, I was so nervous. Yet, when I acutally got up on stage, something kind of clicked and I was able to throw myself into it. I didn't screw up, I didn't miss any cues and I only forgot one line (which was okay because it wasn't important and we just skipped over it).

And everyone was impressed :D And I've passed :D

I still have much difficulty with that myself... 6 years of college and it has gotten better though...

Usually I run 'scripts' and it usually helps out a lot... but if I get off track, I almost freak out...

Once in front of class, I was giving a presentation for a marketing campaign of a ficticious company... I ran off on a tangent, out of 'script' and totally locked up... actually started flapping one hand, gritted my teeth and groaned... That lasted 2 seconds or so before I could bring up the mental blocks to control the behaviors and then a few more seconds to redirect back to the task at hand...

I did finish the presentation but that was the worse incident I had recently...

It is difficult and congrats at pulling it off.
