That's a pretty cool concept. 8) If I had any money to buy stocks, that's one thing I would keep an eye on.

Yeah, I thought it would've got more replies too. People probably didn't feel like watching the video. I do that alot myself.

I will say it was worth watching though. 8) Cell phones will be obsolete soon.

That's incredible!

If it gets through, it will really change a lot of things like feasible and economical ways of shopping and living. Love the idea of it working on people too.....As long as it isn't me. You know, she never brought up the part of whether or not that info will be directly shown on that person LOL.

Makes me wonder if one day people will be able to actually read eachother's minds. That is once they start understanding the brain better. Won't that be a NIGHTMARE!! !

I just got done emailing this link to some other people.

Very Cool!

They have those already. Had, really...I just wouldn't expect the best image until OLED's become mainstream...

I agree. It looks good on the surface, but I kind of cringed when she said something about maybe there could be a brain implant in the future, the way technology's going. I would never want to be that 'integrated' into technology. It sounds too much like the 'Borg' from Star Trek, an alien species that became too intergrated with technology, and became malignant.

I think we are making the Web into a bigger thing then it should be. Sure its great that it has a lot of information, and you can use it to communicate with other people, but we don't have to be in constant contact with it. And this is what these folks are trying to create.
The technology we have right now has too much unknown implications, and we are rushing into it much too fast. We allow people to be in near-constant contact, but in reality the internet and cells has the tendancy to actually isolate, and remove people from face to face contact. We are in a society stuck in information overload, and accustomed to instant gratification. We swallow pills to deal with our loneliness and high stress, with some of the highest rates of depression.

The Internet is good, but only when it is done in moderation. We are beginning to reduce people to soundbytes, and sum them up too quickly based on a couple words. I fear this will only foster this if this proves to be a hit.

This is not necessarily about the internet. The cell phone app for example, or the supermarket helpers/reminders, also seen in the vid.
They are just things that make life easier, such as cellphones, laptops and pdas have done in the present (and possibly soon, past).
Wouldn't it be great that something reminded you that you're almost out of milk? I use a list on my cellphone, and even with that I tend to forget to buy some stuff sometimes.

I, on the other side, think that technology is very slowly advancing, but I agree with you about the tendency to isolate more and more from the people closer to you.

I also agree that there are some problems, personal privacy for example.
