I know what these are:

- triskaidekaphobia
- geliophobia
- hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia

I had to google the other two.

And no I'm not experiencing any of those, but I do have:

- coulrophobia
- automatonophobia (remind me never to go to Micael Jackson's house)
- pediophobia (not to be confused to pedophobia)

I didn't know it had a name (I should have guessed though) - but I've got pediophobia and pedophobia . . . though children mostly bother me if they touch me . . . it is ok to watch them at a distance . . .

You've got a definite trend going on there- but you played with dolls as a kid, you said!! !

Is your coulrophobia ever coupled with somniphobia due to phagophobia? ;)

Kewel, Serissa. Thanks for the phobia dictionary. *bookmarks* :D

I have Emetophobia, Basophobia (though this one is fairly realistic because I'm clumsy), and Thalassophobia (this is relegated to fear of the deep sea. I can handle being on the shore or in the shallows and not freaking out). And a touch of Aeroacrophobia and Politicophobia.

I also have Felinophilia and Ailurophilia and Catoptrophilia. (Well, not really, but I really like 'em.)

Hey! "Homophobia" can also be a fear of sameness and not just a fear of homosexuality. Who knew?...

Not to mention Pteronophobia is an interesting one, hehehe.

I did only until about age 4. I have almost no recollection of actually playing with them. I do remember that by 7 years old I found my old dolls rather creepy and didn't like touching them. In fact, most of my phobias, including ones I'm more or less over, like acrophobia, appeared around that time. As a very small child and toddler I was rather fearless.

Mostly these phobias manifest in feeling anxiety, strong repulsion or the "creeps" by these things. I especially dislike fake hair on dolls, mannequins and clowns - even wigs. That cream paint make-up that clowns use is just the most repulsive thing - once I had some coworkers leave a couple packages of that paint they bought for their Halloween custome on the desk we shared, and it freaked me out. I had to hide it so I could work at the desk. Even with it outof my sight, I couldn't stop having "flashes" of it when I blinked. I feel icky just thining abotu it now.

I don't like fake 3-D human-like figures staring at me either.

LOL - yeah I know that website. I would love to get that t-shiort. But no, I don't have dreams about clowns, or think they're hiding in the dark corners of my bedroom and that they'll eat me. I just think they're an abomination and all they do is to traumatize small children and give me the creeps.

BTW, I would classify Santa Claus as a clown. I don't know if there's a specifc phobia for him, but he's an abomination with fake hair too.

Oh and I finally found this one. I have this too, in spades: tocophobia.

I didn't realize that was a link in Serissa's first post - that's a cool site.

No, sorry.

When I swear, I swear MUCH more violently than that!

And I have tocophobia too, or had it when I thought I might have to deal with that issue someday.

I definitely have it is a more chronic form. I sometimes can't be around women who are "showing."

There's a name for that? 8O I thought I was the only one. Kinda lessened over the years only to resurface when I had to practice resuscitation on a dummy for a first aid course...

Pediophobia is more about dolls - fear of dummies is probably more automatonophobia, which includes mannequins, ventriloquist's dummies, wax statues - basically anything intended to represent a sentient human being in likeness. I don't like any kind of dummy - even those crash test dummies. Do remember those commercial for seatbelt safety that had the talking dummies? Oh, I couldn't watch those! Creepy.

I have learned to "not see" mannequins in a clothing store, but if I see them - or worse, parts of them - in another context, like in the trash, in an art piece, in someone's house, it seriously weirds me out.
