i took the top off a yoghurt cup, you know how the top has some yoghurt on it. my cat's half asleep in her basket, w her face turned away from me. i leaned over to her, and blew air onto the yoghurt, in her direction.

little by little she wakes up, looks around, and i see her nostrils flaring up

i only let her lick off the cap, since dairy products mess up their stomach, she really loves yoghurt.

yesterday i had cake (! ! i still have cake!! ! :O ) anyway, she was again half-asleep, and as i sat down and started to eat some cake, w a movie, she woke up, and begun sending the cake looong stares. theyre not like dogs, in that they MUST have, but its very obvious that she wouldnt be OPPOSED to having some cake
so she got a little lump of whipped cream from the cake, barely a taste, but for the cat its more than enough

if cats only knew how charming they are

They do, believe me.

My cat doesnt know she is charming. She have the "whats-the-matter-with-you-look-in-her-eyes" when Im feeling so overwhelmed by her enormous charming presence...

None of the cats I know are charming, because they all keep coming and crapping in my garden. If they wouldn't do that, I'm sure they'd be pleasant creatures though.

I love my cats. They have very different personalities. One opens doors by jumping at the handle and turning it so she can get into or out of whatever door she pleases. The other cat loves to dance and will do anything so you'll pick him up and dance with him.

when my kitty was little, i lived in a house simply not meant for a cat. (long story) we were not supposed to have a cat, or ANY pet, but a adhd-kid neighbour got one anyway.

every time we went outside, i locked the cat up in my room, cus the junkies next door (yes... ) would leave all the doors open, and the cat would run into the freeway. heavy traffic surrounding us.

she immediately started to jump up, to reach the door-handle, but couldnt reach it.
since then, i have moved, she has a lot more liberty to run around outside, but she never tries to open a door again.

she does "symbolically" reach for the handle tho, while staring at me, and meowing. which is, inevitably, charming as hell

Everytime I bend down to do something my cat Bill automatically jumps on my back and starts purring while I'm bent over like the hunchback of Notre Dame.

Both my cats will automatically get on the computer as they are now and try to play with the keyboard. Bob gets in my face like he wants me to stop...I can't describe the look he gives me but it's that "How dare you, I'm the center of attention here!"

Bill will get on here everytime I have a youtube of a cat meowing. He'll just sit and watch as if he were watching a really good movie.

my cat is a "norwegian forest cat" (its actually counted as a breed). theyre known for being a bit more social than usual, and my cat is totally spoiled on attention.
she tolerates anything, and my brother likes to take full advantage of it

he will hold her, hanging upside down, and she still purrs :D:D
sometimes he lumps her around his neck, like a scarf, then holds up a bowl of yummy "juicy" cat food (as opposed to the pellets, she usually gets) and she hangs there, like a dead fish, purring and munching food

another funny thing is - every time i am on the phone - she thinks im talking to her, and comes over to cuddle. she obviously has no clue what a phone is

I don't know what bill is.. but he's very gigantic! He's also does a lot of meowing and climbing up my leg especially if I don't give him my full attention. As if his heavy self could actually climb me......

I think he still thinks of himself as a kitten......

I've actually posted pics of mine in the LOL cats thread. He does some funny stuff.

household pets tend to stay in a baby-mode.

a soviet experiment w foxes confirmed that dogs stay in puppy-mode. fox puppies bark, same as wolf puppies, as barking is kindova a "gaga-guga" for canines.
the soviets managed to tame foxes, and got the following results:
ears hanging down.
fur changed color to dark brown/black.
they kept barking into adulthood.
their tail curled upwards.

i think its very likely that most cats consider themselves a youngster too, since you keep feeding and taking care of them.

i am convinced my cat regards me as some sort of parent-figure, rather than a friend or a sibling. one thing's for sure: they do NOT see you as an "owner"
