Seriously, I go out walking down the street and this teenage boy shouts things like "fa***t" etc. out the car window.

Perhaps he thought he would impress and amuse friends of his that were in the car with him. Perhaps he mistook you for someone he hated. Perhaps you are someone he hated and you merely didn't recognise him (I am not seriously suggesting this one, but I suppose it is possible).

There are a fair few reasons someone would do this, but none of them are actually good ones. I don't think it's worth worrying about, because by doing so you assign a merit to his attempts to insult you that he does not deserve.

However, I think it's a bit unfair for you to say, "NT teenage boys are idiots," because there are plenty that aren't. This rude behaviour is not caused by a lack of AS.

How do you know he is NT

It was random. I have had it done to me before and I just ignore it. Not all of them do it.

I know the type. I f*****g HATE those. Usually I get sexual innuendos yelled at me. Or if I'm really lucky threats of rape by a group of chavs (when I say chavs, I'm describing their behavior, not their clothes)....this actually happened...

Yep been there.

I never did understand that kind of mentality to just randomly pick on people. Even when I hung out with groups that accepted me, I never joined in the sheeple of bullying.

Teen age boys of any stripe are jerks. It comes with the transition to adulthood.

ruveyn -- father of three males each of which went through teen agedness.

Of course, some people tend to never make that transition.

Good for you. You have the right mentality. You can be a 'pack animal' without being a blind follower and a bully.

It's all about fitting in, and one's upbringing I imagine.
