how in the world does michael jackson have aspergers? thats the funniest thing ive heard all freaking day. the man obviously has a probem and i doubt its As.
Why couldn't it be AS?
MJ is known to identify easily with animals. The first song he wrote (I think) "Ben" was named after his pet rat or something like that.
He also fits the asperger intelligence curve and is very talented in one field (music/dancing) but extremely poor in others (finances, social skills).
Another characteristic MJ trait which fits well with AS is his inability to adapt and change. He never could reinvent himself, unlike for example Madonna, instead he kept doing the same acts until he became more known for his surgery and weird behaviour in general than his music.
What speaks against the "bad childhood" theory is that all the children in that family had a similar upbringing but the others come across as at least socially normal, when you see them in interviews and similar. Michael always seemed to be far away in his own little world. Just listening to him speaking and watching how he interacts with others should be more than just a hint to his neurological status.
Why are people so obsessed with the AS stereotype of a math genius in propeller cap? The only really visible thing most aspies have in common is some sort of excentricity, but how it manifests itself is completely individual.
