Why are people incapable of handling discs without putting scratch or finger marks on them? It really pisses me off. I learnt not to loan things to other people, at the age of eight or something, when I loaned an action man to a school friend and it came back in a horrible state. Unfortunately, my mother considers it okay to loan some things of mine to family members. "It's only your aunt," etc.

Like hell they'll give it back in a good condition. Finger prints? Check. Dirt? Check. Scratches? Check.

Also, I have to be careful where I buy any disc media from. I only buy from stores that sell the things still in the original plastic wrapping. They usually take little care of them, and at best, you'll end up with just some finger prints. The worst cases have been where they just scratch up the disc, because they're too lazy to properly align the plastic holder with the disc. Or, they flat out drop the disc on the ground and try sell you it anyway.

Sometimes it's good not to have any friends, because there's less people around to break your stuff.

People are animals, the problem is on your part for forgetting this.
