I live in Australia. The thing that people generally do after finishing high school is to go onto university to get a degree then a high paying job. I hated school and never tried and I got a terrible mark at the end so I would not be able to go onto university.

I'm 18 turning 19 soon and I am regretting how bad I did and have briefly thought about going back and repeating year 12. I believe you can do it with something called TAFE or via correspondence, because there is no way I would go and do school again.

I don't even know if I would like to go to university, because I have no idea what I want to do in life, it just seems more like I want to do it again to prove to myself that I'm not a complete dumbass.

Has anyone got similar stories to mine?

I did about 2 years ago, when I thought I knew what I wanted my major to be. Plus I went through some economic situatuions that kept me out of school for 2 years....which also gave me time to learn and think from my experiences.

If I were you I might just go ahead and redo my 12th year (however it is you say you could do it). Even if you didn't go to a university or local college this year of the next, you'll still raise your chances of eligibilty. Plus by then you might have a better idea of your premise in this life.

I was about thirty-two years old before I figured out what I was good at and liked doing.
