How many words per minute do you think you can read. I read a few stories one I read in less than 300 words one 400 and two 354. How fast can you read and to help you get better there is a website spreeder that flashes words so you can get better.

When I was younger I could do about 1200 words per minute. Now I am down to 600 or 700 depending on how difficult the text is.

http://mindbluff.com/askread.htm There is a reading speed test here.

I read to the end of the passage and partway through again in a minute, giving me a reading speed of around 1110-1160 wpm.

I don't really care for reading, but I've always read quickly. The only wpm I know of for me is for typing, and that's 84 wpm.

I can't stay focused on reading for more than 20 seconds, really.

Does reading upwards/backwards count?

Last I tried, I could type about 60wpm. I had no idea anyone tested their reading rate. Wouldn't that depend on what the subject material happened to be?
