I over heard a phone conversation in a gas station that was just very amusing. And somehow enlightening.

He must have been with hostess or one of those snack companies, he had some inventory machine and was organizing or counting or doing something with the shelves with all those hostes/little debbie snack cake things.
But anyways, he was on his phone talking and very upset. Not yelling, but was talking in a firm loud voice. It all boiled down to one line...
"what the hell am I suppose to do with 6 trays of apple pies?"

Its just odd the problems every day life present us. I thought to myself at first, 'you're getting worked up over a pastry?' But then I started to think that its the guys lively-hood. I dont know how large these 'trays' are but 6 of them are probably a lot and sure to spoil. Will cost this guy money or get him trouble with the boss, something bad.

We've all got problems, some of us are agoraphobic, some cant stand loud noises, some have too damn many apple pies.

Some people just take some things too seriously, or his current mood could've reflected how he felt.

Sometimes if I'm in a good mood big things like, uh, a flat tire bike riding won't bother me much, but in a bad mood something simple like getting a strange phone call could piss me off.

Some people just don't have a sense of humour.

I was being sarcastic when I told this girl at work the other day to "try harder to get my attention next time", and she thought I was making some kind of pass at her. So she told my boss, and they brought HR into it...so I had to go turn in a written statement about today. I'm not in any real trouble but they did say it was manditory to follow through w/investigating the whole thing.

That's kinda lame considering I joke around w/her(among others) like that everytime we work together, and it's never been a problem. Plus nothing even came from looking further into it, except wasting the time of myself and others.

I hope you were not offended by my reaction, but I found your story mind-boggling and hilarious in the same time.

As for big companies, in my experience, they tend to make a big fuss over small or ridiculous things, while ignoring the real issues
