I'm quite interested in Japan and would quite like to learn Japanese some time. I once stayed overnight in Japan on the way back from New Zealand (we were in transit in Niko Narita airport).

As I studied electronic engineering and really like all sorts of electronics gadgets, it is hard for me to avoid the influence of Japan. There are also all the other things associated with Japanese culture, such as the Chinpokomon things that you collect.

Gonna ask in English because I can't stand the look of romaji - I've just got a new computer and can't remember where you download the MS east-asian language pack from!! I speak Nihongo but hate writing romaji (obviously)... anyone know where you get it from? I think from memory it's the Microsoft IME one? I got it years ago so can't really remember what it was!! Any ideas?

Use your windows cd. (I assume you are using windows)

Watashi wa karifuorunia kara desu. Genzai watashi wa ni tekisasu ni sunde imasu.

I don't know enough Japanese characters yet so I have to stick to Roman character for now
