I'm tired of all the menstruation and shaving threads. So:

Where do you work? How do you spend your free time? What do you like learning about? What do you practice?

I work at home.

I do small engine repair, fix vacuums, garden, sew, crochet, & cook in my free time. Plus spend alot of time hitting yard sales, estate sales in the summer months with my son.

I like learning about almost everything, right now it's Feng Shui, and researching more "greener" ways of living, I read alot of how-to stuff also, I like taking on new projects or home repairs.

I practice patience, I'm divorced, I need alot of that at times.

I'm a historian and artist for a living. Otherwise, I'm a married SAHM. Hobbies include bellydancing, ALL things string, reading, studying language, visiting historical sites and museums, exploring new places, and "playing medieval."

Where do you work?
I was a phlebotomist and I worked in an infertility/ob/gyn office....at least that was my last job. My autistic daughter needed me more than my job and this job in particular was wearing me down in the social anxiety department. Too many co workers Im more of a solitary worker. I can deal with my patients because they come and go but those darn co workers are always there  .

How do you spend your free time?

In my own world :D

What do you like learning about?

Anything medical....and I have a recent obsession with fiddling (violin). Ive also been interested in the craft and history of blacksmithing and crab fishing. I have varied interests.

What do you practice?

Being a wife and mother.....I have yet to perfect this practice  .

well, i worked for my dad before i moved. i don't have a job now. i like reading just about anything that is given to me but i'm really into environmental issues. gosh, i have a lot of free time which i mostly spend sleeping and wp-ing. but usually i would be spending my free time in the backwoods of the bitterroot hiking. and i don't know what "what do you practice means".

what about you, ecky?

I do freelance typing and design for one of my teachers (translation: I type stuff up for her and make the occasional poster). I'd love to get a real job, though. My interests are world religions, history, and computers. In my spare time, I read, spend hours online, and play Nintendo DS. Right now, my big project is making up my own computer/video game. (Since I don't have any programming skills, I'm not actually making it, but it's fun coming up with my own world and speculating what I would do if it was made. Considering it's quite complicated, it wouldn't do very well.)

Hmm... I seem to remember having some free time back in 1994 ... I went panning for gold near Mount Wilson.

I'm a student and freelance writer. I go to school online, from home. I do most of my writing at home too. Perfect for a semi-reclusive lifestyle.

I like to listen to records, write fiction, write songs, read, hang out with my boyfriend, go to pubs, explore the city, go for walks on the beach, draw, make mix tapes, and spend time with my animals. I also love to sleep.

Music, zoology, Australia, and other odd things I don't recall at the moment.

Playing drums with my feet while singing and playing guitar simultaneously.

I own and manage a small internet business. We offer hosting and development. I live above my office, so it is almost like working from home, but more like living at the office. Partly it is good cause I don't have to leave and I fired everyone who doesn't work from their own home, except for my neighbor cause she is my neighbor so she doesn't make me as anxious; on the other hand, I have to go to sales meetings and stuff like that semi-regularly, like once or twice a month, so that is hell for a person with AS.
I like to exercise, cook, play with cats, and sew, knit, and do other crafts in my free time. And watch a ridiculous amount of tv, and read, and listen to music as well.
I like to learn about everything, but technology of course, history, social sciences, and languages are my top interests. I can't play any instruments or play any sports, but I go rollerblading sometimes.

Self employed, not earning a lot, don't want to either. Work place is at home. Free time, being active in political/activism groups, rock climbing, hiking, reading (if I can, have problems with reading at the moment), cooking (for huge groups or eatcafe's, I am a good vegan cook), repairing vehicles, doing a barshift at my local social centre every so often, looking at the sky at a clear night, astronomy (the perseids are coming soon!), trying to get some sense into people who have a misguided (being friendly here, want to say irresponsible, ignorant, stupid) idea about their 'pets' and treating them that way.
What I like to learn; biology and get into something special, I think i prefer mammals.
What do I practice? I try to be a libertarian, anarchist in my daily life and that's not as simple as it seems...

I suppose after requesting this information from you all, I should deliver some myself.

I work at Starbucks. I hope [and plan] to start a BA in January, so this isn't as despicable as it might be.

I spend most of my free time reading, writing, playing violin and a very little piano and bass, looking at trees, drawing, taking walks, and publishing a zine.

I like learning about physics, history, math, philosophy and plant biology.

I practice music, cooking, poetry, left-hand writing, and math. [Using 'practice' as an active verb, rather than a being verb.]
