black female aspies?

i'm just wondering are there any others who are members here, cuz i'm already a rare breed being a female with asperger's. i realize this might not be likely because in the black community, we are less likely to go to psychiatrists and don't have nearly as much awareness of psychological differences. i myself am self-diagnosed.

anyway, just curious

LoL thanks poopy. i was sure this thread was just gonna die because there was no one. i just had to see if there were any out there besides me.

That is strange that there aren't hardly any female black aspies.

But I hope you stick around, I've known some members on here who are of the minority lol.

i really think that there are, they just probably aren't aware of it. and then out of those who do know, probably don't know that there are online support groups like this website. like i said, i wasn't aware of mine until i became an adult, and even then it was self-diagnosed.

I have Asperger's. I was diagnosed by my then-psychologist when I was 17.

There is Nirrti Rachelle, and I think she is a moderator. I think there are more African Descent guys, however.

IRL, I know one M to F transexual who is a diagnosed Aspie...S/he's black...

I am latina, technically I'm black. Someone once told me I look like Lisa Bonet.

I am mixed cultural, a combo of Asian, Black, and Native American. And diagnosed with AS.

Count me in! I'm technically multiracial African American, Mexican, and Native American but I identify as black. I have not been officially diagnosed with AS but there are is a strong likely hood that I fall into that category.

My niece is half black, she's not AS but she is slightly Aspergerlike, probably broad autism phenotype.
