Ever have a COLD flash? They're just like hot flashes only in reverse. I only had a few of those. I would be OK, and then suddenly I would be FREEZING -- just cold to the bone. I would be so cold I would have to bundle up into a blanket. I even had one in the middle of August -- and I live in Texas where August is like hell.

had to laugh about the urge to strip, i'm constantly coming out of my clothes at home, BF jokes about me being like a 2 year old.

every time a hot flash subsides i end up feeling SUPER chilled, so i'm going from tossing off all the covers, jumping 5up and sticking my head in the freezer to suddenly bundling up in the comforter shivering violently.

it's quite a ride!

:nodding: I totally understand! While I don't get child very often, they do happen. Hubby is finally used to my shifting the covers on off on off on off..... I carry a fan everywhere and live off of freeze pops and tea!

Here is my story. I had hormone positive breast cancer 4 years ago (all is fine now), but as a result, cannot take hormones now. I was in peri menopause before chemotherapy, and chemo pushed me all the way into menopause. Then I started a 5 year course of treatment to suppress hormones. I have one more year to go of "constant hot flash" yeay!

Well, earlier this year, I had some bleeding where I shouldn't have--post menopausal, remember? Well, that led to a complete hysterectomy, which meant no more ovaries. No more production of hormones + hormone blocking therapy (fat cells produce estrogen)...yeah, it's more than a little warm.....ugh....

Doc has me on Effexor, which does work a little, but unfortunately, I am wondering what that is doing to my relationship with Hubby. Over this past year, we also realized my aspergers, and that explained other relationship issues prior to all this, so, I am am left with....aaaakkkk

Thank goodness for someone who understands me:-)

it IS great to be able to talk with people who understand! i've seen women go through these (including breaking into a soaking sweat) but it's completely different going through it myself. just one of those things.

i'm finding now with the cold weather they are much reduced. BF is being pretty patient with the icebox we call our apartment. much more than exDH ever was.

fingers crossed for spring...
