I am a teen girl, but I'm starting to think I might like kids in the future. Due to the traits I admire in men, my ideal male partner probably would not have AS, and especially if I adopt, my kids will probably be NT. If I do end up with an NT man and have a biological daughter with him, I think chances are she will be NT.

I don't know how to approach this. Women are supposed to be intimate, socially insightful creatures. If she sends me more nonverbal cues than men, how will I respond? How will I advise her through the maze of female relationships I find uncomfortable? What if she becomes a "mean girl"?

I don't know how to rear a socially adept young woman if I am less socially inclined than most men, (though more than Autistic men).

Never married, and this situation is a bit different,
but I want to share anyways ...

My grandma was an NT.
I was her favorite grandchild.
We were like night and day.
She was the most normal, down-to-earth, socially adept woman on the planet.
I ... was not. * grin * :P
But she loved me, and I loved her.

Best wishes to you and your future family!

Do you think it is easier to parent an NT baby as an Aspie than an Aspie baby as an NT?

Yes I have two daughters and I'm pretty sure they're both NT. One is 13, the other is 19. 19-year-old is shy and introverted, but not Autistic; 13-year-old apparently has ADHD but is not on the Autism Spectrum. It can be hard to explain myself to them sometimes, but they grew up with my random outbursts from Disney movies and Sesame Street and albinoblacksheep flash cartoon scripts, and from Narnia and LotR and Harry Potter books. Yes I randomly insert quotes from all of the above into conversations. At least they're used to that. It drives their NT stepfather round the bend.
