Unlike the leg, which some people might have an issue with because it's visible, I do not understand why people would shave their genitalia unless they are very athletic. It doesn't seem logical. For example I wear bathing suits with the little skirt or a shorts-like bottom.
I'm feeling stupid. What does athleticism have to do with shaving genetalia? I know that elite endurance sport people (running, cykling, swimming etc) shave arms and legs to decrease wind resistance, but genetalia?
I think some women don't like their pubic hairs being seen around the outside of their bathing suit or any other sports garments that don't cover the legs.
When I was about 15 I actually got into trouble for having short shorts on that showed my pubes each time I sat down with my knees up. I was at a friend's who had little brothers and sisters, and my friend's mum didn't say anything but she rang my mum in private, and the next day my mum pulled me into my bedroom to talk about how "bad" it is to go around with short shorts on without shaving around under your legs below your buttocks (yes, pubic hair grows there too, but I don't know what that area is called, hopefully you know where I mean). I felt embarrassed after that, but I also felt annoyed that when you see guys with hair anywhere nobody says anything but if a woman has any body hair everyone freaks out like it's unnatural or illegal. But really, it's just as natural on your body as what the hair on your head is.
