I like knitting. It's relaxing and helps my trich. I haven't done it in ages though because I can't afford to buy any nice yarn.

I have the classic male and AS craft obsession: model railways.

I've found various special niches within that field, putting trains in my garden, building them in the style of my favourite cartoonist, and making odd display trains for Christmas and other themes.
I also built one for my local Chldren's hospital. Some pictures (the bottom two folders) at:

Ooh. An Emetman post. Anyone heard from him lately? He dissapeared from the model railway forums about a year and a half ago and we are concerned about him.

Drawing and scrapbooking are my main things. I tried crochet but it was annoying. I also like origami. If it involves paper I enjoy it.

'Arts And Crafts' is practically my long term special interest -- and can extend beyond that.

Though, like how I usually express special interests, I go straight hands on. So I tend to neglect names and terms after practice.
Heck, I've been doing macramé for more than a decade before knowing that the activity is called macramé.

Arts always been one of my main interests, I studied it in the past and drawing is one of my favourite things to do. Largely observational drawing from and inspired by nature, trips to museums, anatomy etc mostly based in pen and ink.

I also create a lot of freehand embroidery primarily recently of reptiles, amphibians, animal skulls and currently working on a scarab beetle. I also have started making some landscape embroidery mostly so far of favourite places I have visited such as the Yorkshire moors and Norfolk marshlands.

Wow! that sounds very cool! that's intricate too freehand embroidery. Enjoy working on the scarab beetle. I've only made a few handmade cards.

I’m a painter. I’m not great but have sold some paintings online. Recently I’ve been teaching myself how to sew. I also like to bake which can be turned into a craft hobby. I like making theme cakes and cupcakes.
