It came highly recommended, it's actually got a cult following. I must not have the hair composition to make the chemical reaction work. It did absolutely nothing to my hair. Nair at least took off patches and made the remaining hair scraggly. Not that I'd have preferred that, I'm just surprised that it happened that way. I suposse I would just start saving my pennies for laser. Too bad insurance won't pay a portion. My hair's giving me rashes, after all.

Perhaps your correct about the hair composition. Have you heard of the "No! No!"? It's usually advertised on late night infomercials. I sort of want one but they are quite expensive.

I've heard it doesn't work that well. I've heard some good things about some of the at home IPL systems, but they're also expensive and require pricey replacement bulbs. But it's still cheaper than laser and it's more convenient.

Hated how it felt while shaving? Or how it felt afterwards?[/quote]

How it felt afterwards, I refuse to ever shave my legs again if I am to have dark peach fuzz so be it.

I've tried NoNo and all the other miracles … creams and whatevers. NoNo Hair was pretty useless, I have to admit.

… anyway, to cut long story short …
I only trim.

I can't bear to be hairy (body hair hurts!! ! not just itchy, it hurts) and all other hair removal methods get either pain, inflammation, infection or ingrown hair (usually a combination on all 4).

So.

Trim.

My favorite trimmer at the moment is Philipps Satin Perfect - I bought it thinking of using the epilator but NO good results on any epilators. I have ended up using the trimmer only! Works very well! :cat:

^Good to know abut the NoNo; late night infomercials sometimes spark my curiosity, like the nutri bullet is atm (I want one but I already have a good blender)
I dont understand howbody hair hurts, you must have very sensitive skin? Is it the friction caused by contact with a layer of clothing?

I didn't find any painless epilation method. Sugar waxing in intim area was the most painful so far.

My biggest concern is exactly this part: I have ingrown follicle tendencies, so shaving is a big no. Trimming is generally not enough for guys (though when I'm single I do it), waxing is very painful and I'm allergic to creams. :x

For my legs and underarms, I just shave them with a regular razor. I have PCOS, so hair growth on my face is also a thing I have to deal with so I usually will use a regular razor on my upper lip and the rest of my face too. I will tweeze my eyebrows though (they grow really fast and I have to attend to them a lot.)

I find ABVD chemotherapy works quite well  Haven’t had to shave in months.

I generally get my facial hair (eyebrows, chin, upper lip) waxed/threaded at a local salon.
Everything else, I just wax at home or trim/leave alone.
I've used nair for my lady bits before but not anymore.
I plan on getting laser in the future.

i believe there are some devices on the market that can help you remove hair
with little pain, cost a couple hundred dollars

perhaps worth it in the long run

I don't remove it, I do have a little electric razor with attachments that just allow me to trim it so I do that sometimes if I find its getting a little too wild. I did try shaving when I was a like teen and early 20's but it irritates my skin and I was just doing it because i thought you were supposed to...like women in my family all did. But yeah I prefer not to.
