Call the animal control on him and tell them you have a rabid chimp in your house, they will understand and respond immediately and tranquilize him and take him away and relocate him!

None should.

I dunno, I just try to understand people and where they're coming from. Our world's aren't as big as most NTs so our experiences in almost everything are severely limited which can lend itself to resentment and making these broad stroke arguments and generalizations to compensate. I would venture to say tho that most people that make these comments probably would change their tune if their personal experience changed for the better, are they truly hateful or are they just languishing out of frustration?

I think L&D is kind of like another Haven since our primary issue socializing and relationships so obviously that's going to be the most volatile negative part of the site unfortunately. I wish things were better for us all.

It's one thing to understand the cause of a behavior, and another to allow that to be an excuse for that behavior.
We shouldn't say, "X has an unhappy love life, so he should be allowed to say hurtful things to/about women." Women should not have to be victims of someone else's dissatisfaction with life.

Sure and I think a lot of threads in L&D are let go way too long, especially once stuff gets beyond like page 5 its usually the result of some sort of argument or fight that has a occurred 10,000 times already. 20+ pages? Start running the other direction. Understanding why doesn't mean you should tolerate mistreatment but I don't think it the mods should be too heavy handed either, it's just something they gotta judge on a case by case basis. Can't we all just get along? :|

I do think it is important to try to not go looking for things to be offended by either if it really bothers you tho, when you get into that mindset you can start seeing slights and insults in places there aren't.

My god has this thread turned bitchy. Looks like calling specific members misogynistic is ok. But saying a comment anywhere on WP that could be twisted to mean all women, not a specific group they knew in real life, is not ok. F**k these double standards.

Yes, a few sexist comments turn up here and there. These are most likely trolls. Report them.

But what you're doing here is personal attack. No doubt about it.

There are always unenlightened or biased folk in any community no matter how big or small.

I think a sense of proportion is needed here.

In my experience, over the planet the NT `real` world outside is MUCH MORE misogynistic than WP.

Here's a personal attack on WP women, again in L&D.

Guys are called whiners there all the time too :p.

The thing is, you are too sensitive and too serious; you obviously view any teasing comment addressed to a female members as misogyny.

But I was just saying an observable fact there; most AS women will all eventually have bfs/husbands - and that's not an attack nor an insult; you should be thankful for this blessing; at least in the love aspect of life :p.

Also Yippy, it's funny that you have selectively not posted my "misandric" part of my post, where I am preaching that married aspie women should abort only male babies. :P

I am totally fine with that but if you are childless already, please stay so!! Adopting some orphan refugee child would be a greater contribution for humanity, they are everywhere.

At least, you shouldn't have aspie boys.

Umm...btw how hard is it to determine fetus gender before the medically allowed time for abortion?:p

Why should you be telling women whether to have an abortion? I wouldn't tell men they should have a vasectomy.

Again, so hyperbolic.

Anyway it's up to those two members to report it as personal attack, not you.

Not telling them, just suggesting.

I would have told the guys to do so that too if they were succeeding to get relationships/married in the first place :p. But as far as I see, they don't need it.

You are failing to see the dark humor behind my post there, oh well. I am done.

I have read posts on other Aspergers related forums from NT women discussing their experiences and difficulties in relationships with Aspies. Aspie men really get it in the neck!

Some of the comments are quite misandryic.
Like:
`never get a relationship with an aspie they f**k you up`.
` if you find out he`s got aspergers run a mile`

That kind of stuff... which is a nasty mix of sexism and bigotry.

My wife read some of this stuff to get some support and found the comments overwhelmingly negative. It put real pressure on our relationship at a difficult time.
I had to work really hard to talk her around.... luckily shes a smart and independent woman.

I know we are specifically talking about WP but the point I am making is that gender hate is rife and I do agree that globally women get a very rough deal with global institutionalised sexism, however I honestly feel it is possibly proportionately less here on WP than in the rest of the world.

This article is interesting and could equally apply to men joking about hating women.

P.s. I would class myself as a generally pro-feminist person .... have been since the 80s.

I can report anything I feel should be reported. However, I did not report it. I merely quoted it.

This is not a thread about misandry.

They're being happy in their honeymoon - I highly doubt they would give a f--- for my post :p or feel offended by it.
