Aspie girls- hate going to the mall??
I agree with you completely. Though it is possible to find clothes that look good on real people (except for that tight-ass tanktop that rises up all the f*****g time juniors crap) it's not advertised well enough. I shopped in the juniors section for the longest time, and I have no idea how I survived wearing that stuff. Just wear women's clothes unless you find something that's flattering on you from juniors - plus, it's more gratifying to be a size small in real clothes then a large in stretchy muffin-top inducing t-shirts reading 'skank' right?
I love shopping, but I can't stand department stores. I prefer smaller stores - H&M is amazing. Everybody here should check it out. It's mostly for young adults (men and women), and they have amazing, cute stuff.
Actually, what bothers me with a lot of generic clothing stores is that a ton of the clothes look intentionally trendy but tasteless - messy seams and the sizes are often inconsistent (of course it depends on what you're going for...). It's all just terrible quality. And I know giant two-tone prints are fashionable right now, but a great deal of them just look plain tacky. Am I the only one who thinks this?
Sorry about my rant, as you can tell I feel very strongly about this, heehe

I would probably like the mall if there was absolutely no one else in it, but that'll never happen. I can handle going there when I have to, and I like the stores themselves, but it's always a very uncomfortable experience for me. I don't like being surrounded by people (hate being touched unexpectedly) and having to smell, hear, and see all the(ir) nonsense. It drives me nuts, and I feel like everyone is watching me.
Sales associates in particular really bug me. I know they're just doing their jobs, but when they aren't busy stalking me to make sure I don't steal, they're asking me if I need any help. When I went to a Chapters last month I swear that I was approached by every single employee there. One even asked me if I was lost.
