I've often wondered if Irish women's heights could get just as short as leprachauns. Now that would be funny.

I'm 4ft 10inc.

Oh to be just a couple of inches taller, so I don't have to constantly have to ask people to reach things in the store and so I can wear trouser without having to alter them (I know there are websites and stores that cater, but there are no stores near me and I have to get clother from charitys as it is)

I can't wear high heels as I have very wide feet (see above) and have problem with regular shoes as it is.

5'5

funny thing height, I heard it's not really genetic *that* much and depends on your protein intake as a child and when growing up. supposedly that's why the Dutch and Norwegians are the tallest (=highest protein intake in kids compared to other counties).

in my family everyone is about my height, apart from my brother who's about 190 cm tall.

I'm almost 5'7". Technically I'm 5'6.75". I didn't reach this height until I was 18. I have long arms and legs, so I wear "tall" sizes in pants and rarely find long-sleeved shirts that fit. I look taller than I really am.

I am also the shortest person in my family, barring my 11-year-old sister.

I'm 5'5". You would have expected me to be taller given my parents' heights - my father is 6'2" and my mother is 5'9" - but both of my grandmothers were small.

Just lucky I guess. ...sometimes.
