Well perhaps you do need oestrogen. My mom is on them at the mo for other reasons down there.
Talk to a specialist?

I have been reading extensively about menopause. One of the things that I am finding is that there tends to be an estrogen "dominance" in women today, caused by increasing use of plastics in our environment, for starters. I am seeing an acupuncturist for hot flashes, and they have greatly diminished. I don't think it is safe to add estrogen when there may be too much of it in my body already. I had started using progesterone cream, but stopped because I read that it might cause cancer. I guess I will wait to see what the Gyn says.

Oh I wasn't suggesting you self diagnose at all. Under medical guidance of course. My mom had deficency in the Estrogen down there, so she needed it?

That's OK. I didn't think that you were suggesting that. I guess I was just remembering that my gynecologist had suggested either estrogen shots, or tablets to insert. I just don't think it's a good idea. Although there may be a deficiency like that of your mother's, I didn't like the list of possible side effects.
