Zinc and magnesium will help. If it's pain you're worried about, try Aleve.
With regard to exercise, most exercise that you do for the purpose of getting exercise sucks, but there are ways of getting moving without that. I would know. I hate exercise with a burning passion, and so far I've lost twenty pounds.
You can try doing little things like taking the stairs rather than the elevator. They do add up.
There's a book with a workout plan for easy ten-minute fitness "sparks" that you do whenever's convenient, but I forget the title and don't want to repeat misremembered information.
There's dancing. This hasn't worked for me because of a lack of opportunities (I specifically like Armenian line dancing, and I'm no good at it so joining a dance troupe is out of the question), but I suppose it could.
There's fencing. Better yet, there's joining the SCA for a recreation of period fencing techniques, complete with armor. It's all very geeky, and when you want to take a break, people will be more than willing to chat about fantasy stuff. (For some bizarre reason, the sort of people who make their own chainmail are also more likely than average to enjoy fantasy. Not just books, either; I met an otaku there.) But that might be too much for you.
I really like walking places. When I'm not walking around the neighborhood, I'm pacing the house. I'm not good at it, and I don't walk far. About fifteen minutes is the longest I usually go. But the best part is, I like to carry stuff with me. It started out with a tiny purse my aunt gave me. Then when I found that it was bulging, I sewed a slightly larger purse and used that. When I found that that was inadequate, I bought a somewhat larger purse. When I needed to carry textbooks, I moved to a backpack. When the backpack started ripping apart under the strain, I moved some of the books to the purse I'd been using just before. Then recently, I added another purse to that setup. So now I walk exactly as far and as fast as I did before, but...
And I didn't even notice, it was so gradual. The trick was never adding anything just for weight. It all consists of stuff I genuinely need to carry everywhere, like a menorah, a diary I used when I was thirteen, an empty candy wrapper...
(Well, I need to carry it everywhere, even if no one else would.)
EDIT: I forgot to mention you might also check your thyroid. Note that if you have Hashimoto's, the TSH test will give a false negative; test instead for T3.
