I get seriously overwhelmed swimming - I don't like indoor pools at all (get headaches from the scent of chlorine), can't deal with the lighting and have issues with a lot of people. Sometimes I'll swim, but it's usually when I get dragged - and usually outside.

I don't wear bikini's though. I have a decent figure, and even when I'm at my thinnest I'm just not comfortable being next to naked in public. I like two pieces with shorts for bottoms.

Yes actually, though I like those vintage ones that hide my belly button. I sort of have to wear two-piece swimsuits because my torso is so long!

I kind of want to because I love the feeling of sun on my tummy, but honestly my boobs are too big to wear anything without an underwire, and I have big scars on my upper legs from years of self-injury that I'm really self-conscious about. I generally wear a racing back bathing suit and a pair of swim shorts.

I like to wear a string bikini top with board shorts, but my husband is not a fan of that look. I wear a bikini with a skirt over the bottom; I have a casual little white skirt that works with my brown bikini; I also have a flowered bikini that came with a miniskirt as well as bottoms. I don't worry too much about how I look; I figure everyone is on the beach to enjoy themselves, not to stare at me. And if they do stare and don't like what they see, they can look away!

I do have a one piece which I got when the scar on my belly was bright red and I was embarrassed by it. Now that it's sort of a silvery-pink color, it doesn't bother me as much. And most of it is hidden by a biniki bottom anyway -- I may wear a string bikini top, but I like a bottom that covers my butt! Nothing too revealing down there.

I do wear a bikini. I work damn hard to keep this middle-aged body in good shape. Why not show it off while I still can?
