face threading? Um...explain what that is please? Right now I'm getting a grotesque image about needles, thread and my face. :eew:

Call me butch, but I don't mind shaving my face. I have to do it every day, but it takes seconds. I don't get a 5 o clock shadow, or anything. I guess I'm not that hairy on my face.

I've considered shaving my face, simply because of the time it takes to pluck. If I want to do a good job I'm looking at a good two hours I'll have to sit and pluck for. I usually just give up after that point. I used to have all my body hair removed professionally, but now I just don't have the money. I have about a week before my stubble is unsightly and I have to do it all over again.

Haha, it involves the thread and your face but no needles! This video shows how they do it:

*shudders* I don't think I'd enjoy that very much. I may do it for my wedding or something reeeally important but that's not if they don't develop an easier and less painful way of doing it by then.

I don't find it too bad any more, as long as you find someone who knows how to do it properly, get it done regularly and take painkillers beforehand it's fine! Some people recon it doesn't hurt but I think they must be either hairless or lying.

how do you people feel about waxing? i tried to do it at home, but the velcro sound of the hair ripping out almost made me vomit. it doesn't bother me to hear othe people being waxed, but on my own skin it really bothered me. i thought about going to a salon to get it done, so maybe i could just wear headphones or earplugs?

I waxed my face for a long time, but its so thick now that it's just too painful. I still wax sometimes at home, but I definitely find it easier to get it done at a salon. The sound didn't bother me as much there, because there is more going on, and it seemed somehow less painful. Places started charging me the fee PER SECTION of my face, because it would take so long.
I never cared what people thought of me until I had a child. I don't want judgemental individuals having misconceptions about my family, just because I'm hairy and autistic. I'm actually pretty nice.

I'm pretty sure i have a light form of hirsutism or something. Luckily, i'm a blonde so it's not super obvious, otherwise i would probably have to shave my face and stomach.

I have a single blonde colored hair (I have brown hair) that grows on my forehead. Not sure what that is about.

I like waxing my eyebrows but waxing the upper lip is awkward since my nose is in my way when i rip the cloth up.pluck the upper lip.

I have a lot of body hair but I think it has to do more with my ethnic background. I'm Filipino/Dutch with a bit of Spanish, Chinese, Russian and French. So yeah, I have dark hair. I get a bit of hair on my upper lip which I wax and I wax my eyebrows as well or they'd be pretty bushy. I have dark hair under my arms which is really annoying to shave because of my sensitive skin. I have dark hair on my legs but not a lot, I shave them as well. I choose to shave "down there" because yeah, I get a lot of hair down there. I shave it all. This is kind of embarrassing but I get hairs that grow on my nipples which I shave off. My arms are a bit hairy and my stomach is a little bit as well but they're not too bad so I don't bother.

I have to shave off nipple hairs, too. I also have to shave my toes.

My toes have a tiny bit of hair on them as well but not that much, I don't bother with them. Actually if I look closely, my fingers do as well but you can barely see it.
