Just read Supersimoholic's comment: yes, jog bras are good, but they're uncomfortable and useless on their own (if you want to move at all, that is) - you can wear a fitting, underwire bra, and then put on a thin jog bra over for extra security.

Dieting or exercising won't make them go away. When I say exercise I mean like floor exercises like dancers do (crunches etc). and ALWAYS BREATHE, you're breath can sometimes get constricted really easily if you're on your back!

I just have to say that being able to nurse my two kids has been one of the best experiences ever, and I would have been very disappointed had I been unable to do so. I think I was a C cup before kids and got up to DD when I had infants (now about D). I've thought about surgery just to lift things a bit (heh) but honestly, I don't like the idea of moving nipples around and losing sensitivity.

I don't always have the best body image, yet to me, your opinions and treatment of your body sound rather harsh.

I definitely don't want biological children for health reasons, and even if I wanted children at all, I would adopt one.

I find the idea of being pregnant hideous, and the idea of my body as a baby machine just revolts me. I don't fully identify as a female like you do...

I've had four children, yet I am not a machine, baby or otherwise. There are mothers who can nurse their adopted children. Someone should only have children, biological or adopted, if they actually want to be a parent. Many people end up having biological children because it is insanely expensive and restrictive to adopt and many people (eg. gay, trans, genderqueer, etc) are discriminated against. My experience with nursing has been hit or miss. I can't say my experience as a mom has been diminished because I couldn't nurse all of them. If someone does not like their breasts, especially if they cause them pain, that is their business. If someone loves their breasts, that is likewise their business. One view is no more extreme than the other, it's just who we are and sometimes our bodies do not compliment the person that's inside.

Actually, you did. You went into unnecessary detail about lean and cut you are.

That wasn't unnecessary, most of the time one would assume that a large-breasted woman is large in other places as well. She was explaining that she wasn't, in fact it was the opposite, which is unusual and makes her body difficult and painful to deal with.

No, I was describing how I'd made the effort to lower my body fat very low, which was relevant because large breasted women usually have higher body fat. I don't know my exact levels right now but the fact that you can see connective tissue means it's fairly low.

I can see how in any other context that would be taken as bragging, but I think you can see here that it was posted for a reason.

What exactly would you have liked as a reference point? A reading from a machine? I don't have access to one right now...

I think we have perception differences that are causing a severe misunderstanding of what mechanicalgirl39 is actually talking about. Fnord thinks big boobs are awesome, therefore he interprets mechanicalgirl39's complaints to be masked bragging. I'm assuming zannster thinks a lean and cut body is a proper representation of beauty, so therefore she interprets mechanicalgirl39's supporting evidence (ie. one of several reasons why she views her breasts negativity) as bragging. Yet, mechanicalgirl39 was never bragging.

My bottom line on this is that this is a forum full of aspies, auties, and probably-most-likely aspies and auties. This means posters are less likely to be subtle or have ulterior motives hidden between the lines of the text. If you feel a reaction to the text that is not encompassed in the words immediately before you, it is likely that you are having an individual reaction that exists solely inside your head. That's a great opportunity for self-analysis but it might not be appropriate to lash out at mechanicalgirl39.

Exactly. Thank you.

If I could have just quoted from a machine reading and said 'I'm at X% fat right now and they're not reducing' I would.

The reason why I feel safer here. Things are crazy at Babycenter.

Have you tried swimming laps? I rarely see swimmers with large breasts. I think all those strokes burn fat around the chest. :) Plus swimming is a friendly exercise to large breasts and doesn't cause back pain. The only negative side I can think of is swimmers tend to have large muscular legs, so it might be harder to find pants that fit well. I personally love large legs so I don't mind.

I'm a few pounds overweight just now, but no matter what I weigh I take an F cup. They are also very heavy and I get pain in my shoulders. When I was being measured for my breastfeeding bras, the lady was stunned at how heavy they were. I find sports bras help me look smaller and are great for support too.

I do swim, but I still have them. The small breasts you see on swimmers are probably just from general leanness - you can't spot reduce fat.

I would LOVE to have large muscular legs, but I suck at gaining weight...

If you're so sick of having breasts, try having practically none!! I'm a 34B and still look flat-chested!
