I strongly believe that all women should have long hair. I have long hair and I just pulled a f**k load of mats out of it. My mom said something about trimming it and I told her I am willing to suffer to have long hair.

Same thing for dieting. I'm willing to eat lower than 2000 calories a day to wear my clothes.

I am also willing to get blisters to wear nice shoes.

What do you think? Do you suffer for what you want in your appearance and overall self esteem and body image?

That sounds like what a typical woman does to herself.

It sounds like what a neurotypical woman does to herself. It is not logical.

If you want to look a certain way and it takes some effort to look that way, then it's very logical to do that. I know many NT women who don't seem to care what they look like and don't put forth any effort in how they look. I'm an aspie and I put some effort into how I look.

How is it not logical to look a certain way that pleases you?

Well more NT women care too much about how they look than ones that don't.

Screw suffering; if anyone has a problem with me in flat shoes and comfortable clothing they can write me a long, heartfelt letter about it then roll it up and stick it up their arse.

AMEN. If someone wants to do that for themselves, fine, but never do it just to impress someone. Especially a hetero man because trust me, they don't care. Really.

That's why I don't usually bother with my appearance unless I am going somewhere. I like to wear makeup but my husband doesn't care, so why waste money on it if nobody is going to see it. And I don't care what my coworkers think about my appearance, as long as I meet the dress code well enough to not get hassled. The only person I dress to impress is ME.
