I don't wear make up often - usually only when I go out dancing for the night at a semi-important event or I have a dance performance.
But on the occasions I do use it, I think of it as art.. it does take me a long time to do, but I have also gone to the trouble of learning it the ways professionals do it. I have a lot of fun creating new looks or recreating cool ones I find and have managed some pretty awesome ones. It is a form of self expression - I have to dress in costume for the performances anyway, this is just another part of it for me, it's a part I have a lot of fun with actually.
