Never a fight, but I once had a male friend who briefly refused to speak to me after I got engaged. Then he pretended nothing had happened.

I have had multiple situations where guys were attracted to me and the feeling was not mutual.

There was one guy who I was talking to, I saw him as a friend, but he had made it evident that he had feelings for me. Then there was another guy who liked me. The second guy approached me and said something along the lines of,

"He's just a friend, right? and not what... I'm afraid of?"

It makes me wonder if I give off a false flirty energy.

I've never had a guy who's seen me in person so much as look twice at me, let alone consider fighting over me. And I only have one friend who lives in another state, if I was in a situation where a guy got drunk and started talking bad about me because I wasn't responding to his advances, I would probably have no one to defend me.

Only my male friends attempting to rescue me from some drunken tagalong. Happened twice in my life, neither situation really serious (no real fight ultimately occured).

Yeah, they were like, "YOU want to be her boyfriend!", "No, YOU do!" *big ball of violence*

Ha ha, joke. I've never had anyone fight over me. Not that I want them to, people fight over the most stupid things as it is.

I don't see how you were the cause of this...

Kind of seems like that guys inappropriate behavior is what caused the escalation of things. You were just minding your own business and he came up and started being inappropriate and rude...I would say he was the cause of this incident not you.

I've noticed a pattern in my life in which men who are attracted to me come in pairs - at parties or bars especially. I am turned off by their behavior and I have, once or twice, created a situation that publicly embarrasses the two men.

YES!! I wonder if I am sending "I am attracted to you" signals when I just want to have a conversation with a man.

Yeah, in this day and age, it's hard for people of the opposite genders to interact without people assuming there's something else going on. Or one of us might see it as a friendship while the other is on a different page.

Yes, ugh. If I so much as look at a guy a few times he starts acting weird.

Why wouldn’t a man be interested in you, Ms. Tuune?

Yeah, she definitely should have more self confidence.

Don't sell yourself short, you're very physically attractive if that is you in the avatar.

No. I'd rather have them fawn over me. :P
