beat's me why this is allowed :?:

Ok, so if I criticize a behaviour that some women have been responsible for, that means I'm criticizing all women?

You do realize that I'm just criticizing bad behaviour? I'm allowed to do that and its not "women bashing" to do so.

ROFLMAO I find it funny it is instantly assumed to be a woman bashing thread yet it is a woman stating her opinion against misandry!

Wouldn't you die from dehydration if you only drank tears? Sort of like sea water.
Actually sea water has a higher salinity content than human tears but it would result in dehydration after prolonged exposure to drinking salt water, not good for the kidneys either!

it would lead to urinating more water that you took in, to remove all the sodium. i remember ordering salt and water as a kid on board plane flights and drinking it.

anyway, this is a real editorial piece. i'm guessing this is an example of what OP means?

I don't find 'ironic misogyny' funny and I don't find this that funny either. But there are tasteless people everywhere. I would however by a coffee mug that said "Tears of the oppo" because that would be kinda funny. I might order one.

Problem was in the context of Jessica Valenti sending a massive fuck-you and crowing at men in the Gamergate and Shirtstorm wars... and the whole "DIE CIS SCUM" stuff..

When you grew up in the shadow of Dworkin as I did...

Collapses down to perceiving an ideology that literally wants to see you dead because neuroatypical brain wiring and penis...

Funny that you should mention that mug. I read an article in the guardian about ironic misandry this week. Here it is if you're interested.

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/mar/13/feminists-do-not-hate-men

Althought I do think that Jessica Valenti is a either a bit nuts or has simply mastered the art of writing click bait articles for money.

I think the point she is trying to make is that no one cares what feminists do because they all have assumptions about what feminists are all about, so lets be ironic about it and have an openly misandrist mug. I sort of get it, but then someone like me who cares about people's rights would really be ironic if they had a mug like that, but it disgusts me so much that I wouldn't use that mug, so I can't help wondering if you have to be at least a little misandrist to proudly cluth that mug, so rather than being ironic it's actually true.

And in the discussion at the time men were constantly being slagged off - and there were vehement denials of 94% male suicide rates etc...

So "I BATHE IN MALE TEARS" was seen as just a tad insensitive...

I think the phrase would have been entirely lost on me. I've never heard of this thing.

Some time ago I began to frequent this forum a lot less because I just grew tired of the constant, ongoing gender debates. I made some replies too but overall it was a kind of hostility that I didn't want on an autism forum. I mean, I'm not interested in christianity/atheism debates either but they usually restrain themselves to PPR whereas this invaded the whole forum. :? As to the mug, well, I'm quite ambivalent about it. I think that if you go into full butthurtedness mode you look and are kind of silly, on the other hand I would't want that mug myself but that's because I probably don't want anything provocative or political on a mug and drink from it publicly. Perhaps it's related to me not wanting to make someone feel uncomfortable (that way) in a room or group.

If I need any provocative mugs I'm buying them here. Probably most of what's listed...
Onion mugs

The idea of the mug is to take pride in griefing men in order for her feel to better about herself so in the end it makes the woman who does so more pathetic than ever and nothing else but an abusive sexist bully, it is not empowerment just sexist male bashing and pathetic!
