High heels are too girly for me, so I never wear them.

Yuck, I hate the look of high heels and would loathe to wear them. Give me my boots or sandals anyday.

Hrm...all my boots, and most of my sandals have some sort of heal...(Though for many of the sandals it is a "wedge")

I make sure my shoes have no heel at all... I am already tall and would hate to be taller.

I'm 6'1. But when you wear a womens size 12, you can't be picky about what you wear for shoes ;)

Oh, yeah. It's what you can find that fits and isn't too hard on the eyes. I tend to buy two pair of the same if I ever find one I really like, because when the first pair wears out I'll never find the exact same thing on the shelf again.

I enjoy being tall. I can see over people's heads and never have problems getting things down from store shelves. Now that clothing is readily available for tall women (it was hard finding jeans that were long enough, back in the 60s and 70s), there's no real drawback to being tall in a short world. Except for hitting one's head on the roof of small, subcompact cars when ya do a speed bump too fast.

I can walk in them, but I find it uncomfortable so i usually don't.

Make sure you go heel - toe - heel - toe, because otherwise it looks absolutley ridiculous.

A lot of young girls walk in them from the ball of their foot hardly using their heels at all - and it just makes people think "Why does she wear heels if she can't walk in them"

Give it a go, you should probably try without stilletos at first. :)

Hmm, I would never let anyone pick out a pair of shoes no matter the occasion. I can't walk in high heels, I don't want to, and if I need feminine shoes, those babies are going to have a low heel.

Give me Crocs clogs, Crocs flipflops, Birkenstocks, hiking boots, Asics, and cowboy boots.

Graelwyn, own that height, girl! Stand tall, and be proud of yourself. I wish my niece at 5 foot eleven would quit hunching. She's going to give herself a widow's hump at this rate.

I too have no trouble walking in heels, but my feet get sore after an hour or so. I still wear them when the occassion calls for them.
Stiletto heels are the worst because I could be walking along on the street, and suddenly the heel will get caught in a sidewalk crack. Stiletto's are very annoying and dangerous due to this :x

A lady I know wears heels constantly and as a result, her calf muscles have shortened, maiking it impossible for her to wear flats without experiencing pain in her legs and feet 8O

Ugh, they're as ugly as they are uncomfortable! I have one pair and I've only worn them twice.

I like and wear high-heeled boots, but usually no higher than 3 inches which would make me 6' 1".

I wear flats, for the most part. Some days it's all I can do not to trip over sidewalk cracks as it stands.

I hate high heels. Whoever invented them should be shot.

I do. Try walking in some closed, high shoes first - boots, for instance - where it's difficult to bend your ankle sideways. Eventually you can move onto open shoes. Wearing them too often is bad though, since it can seriously injure your arch.
