I used to chew it constantly when I was a kid. My parents always got mad at me for doing it. Then I got my hair chopped short when I was 8, and I guess by the time it grew long again, the obsession had passed. It's long now and I do fiddle with it a lot - I prop my elbow on my desk, or the arm of my couch, and just sort of absently run my fingers through it.

I used to chew it, but now I twirl it. Very, very often. I stopped for the moment to type this post, but as soon as I'm done I'm going to start again.

I still twirl..I don't chew...I never did, I used to suck on it in a way when I was younger...I sometimes put it to my lips for the "feel" of it... :roll:
