Probably a good choice, although you could look into medical braces that are not extreme enough to cause damage, only support. Added benefit is the garment and fitting might be covered by insurance if a doctor thinks it would help your comfort.

I was attending chiropractic seminars from https://www.dcmentors.com website, and the specialists there told me to use a corset. I've been wearing it for a week now, and it helps really. I guess, you should get some consultation from a chiropractor too

I occasionally wear a loosely tied corset (loose enough so I can breath comfortably, but not too loose) under my shirt at my desk job when my (minor ) back pain is acting up. it helps to have the support, sit up straight, and not put as much strain on my back. I'd imagine it would be the same for your problem. I just got a cheap one because I don't use it for realz or very often, but if you can afford a nicer one it would probably be even more helpful/comfortable.

I have never been able to wear a corset. But this year, I purchased my first two piece dear-fashion.com/Wholesale-Sexy-Corsets-Bustier/

There's a reason classic Spanx is such a popular brand with certain markets, and a different reason for why the company in 2015 had to recognize that not everyone wants to be compressed into solid twigs & so added a few more-comfortable, "flattening/flattering" product lines.
