i did manage to have a few friends in middle school..albiet, there were also girls who wanted to beat me up...I finally made it into gifted classes...acquired occasional "friends"...worked in the school newspaper...went to academic decathalons..(and made an ass of myself)...
Scraped up a bit of self esteem after my horrible dismal elementary school years.

When is 6th - 8th grade?
Here we have primary school till 11 and then high school to 16 or 18.

Middle school was hard for me, I had no friends, I wasnt comfortable with myself at all.

10 - 14 or so. Varies.
