i am not against all MRAs, i am against MRAs that are bitterly hateful towards women and spread lies and misinformation. it just so happens that all the MRAs and their material i have encountered so far fit that description. if you are aware of MRA material that is accurate and not hateful, please direct me to it and i'd be happy to read it and correct myself. i am not at all against the idea that men should stand up for themselves and their rights--i just don't think men as a group are now or have been historically oppressed by women in the same way that women are and have been historically oppressed by men, so i don't feel activism for men's rights is necessary in the same way that is activism for women's rights.

Why change the subject?

I specifically asked, have you ever said at some point in your life, " men are this" in any kind of way whatsoever? I was asking you to be honest because from what I can see trying to trap you into admitting anything you've said is a generalisation against men is an act of futility because no matter what I do point out about your previous behaviour you will do one of your magic changing the subject tricks again.

So instead, I was asking for self honesty. Have you, at any point in your life, ever made a generalisation about men where you've said something like " men are this way" ?

And I'll give you a clue. Yes you have. As everyone has. The only difference is that you set standards for others that you make no attempt to meet yourself. Grow up, self deception is a supremely unattractive trait.

Can people just admit this is normal and everyone does it, rather than demonising the people that are honest enough to admit it?

Billiscool, don't argue with these hypocrites. They don't fight fair, they abuse the rules. We both know its true but they're liars to themselves and like a lot of women hide behind technicalities and change the goal posts. You will never beat a self liar in an argument, not in their minds. Just know you're right and walk away because that's what they find the most frustrating. Females like this are too social, which equals them finding the idea of people having their own opinions and ideas supremely intimidating. They don't understand the male independence of mind and never will. Leave them to their group deception. Don't worry, there are definitely logical girls out there that can understand a logical thought, there just aren't any here.

Nice job bullying bill btw. Social aggression ftw. We will not tolerate different opinions right?

"White knighting" is a form of sexism in which the man decides everyone needs to let him play the hero by sweeping in and rescuing the damsel. It's a marvelous way of making someone else's problem all about himself and his opportunity to prove himself wonderful. how did i change the subject by asking you to support your claim against me (that i have made sexist remarks against men) with evidence?

it is possible i may have said something along the lines of "men are stupid" or "men only want one thing" when i was a teenager/young adult--but i no longer say such things because i learned it was ignorant and hurtful to do so.

Ever consider that it was you not comprehending my points rather than me not making any? And I in no way attacked anyone personally, I only attack their opinions. not that I care to have my own misrepresented words sent back to me, I have no intention of getting bogged down in this because you can't grasp what I'm saying. If you want anything clarified I suggest you retread what I've put because I ain't got the time to restate myself in ten different ways so you can grasp it.

If I didn't comprehend your points how will my rereading it allow me to comprehend it if my very thinking got it wrong? If my erroneous thinking led to me misunderstanding you then how can I use my erroneous mind to understand you?

Well, it seems like Tarantella gave an explanation behind White Knightism.

If you believe someone needs help or assistance then that should be the reason for providing help or assistance. One should do good because it is good not to gain something like sex or fame. If they don't need your help anymore and they have a handle of the situation then you should back off. I believe this is what Tarantella is saying. I could be wrong.
