I'm 55 kg and 168cm tall - I do not know how tall that is in your conversions.

Don't mean to break it to you love but 188cm is 6ft2 not 6ft3.

I'm just below 5'10....at my full height, before scoliosis took its toll, I was just below 6'. Hair and omnipresent heels taken into account, though, I've been known to reach nearly my dad's height (he's 6'5!) :D

I'm 5'9

I have this weird thing where I always assume that women I get to know online are 5'8 and guys are 6'0. It's what I imagine in my head and I constantly find myself shocked if I discover that people are taller or shorter than that. LOL

I think I know what you mean. I do the same thing when sitting across from someone and conversing- you just assume your heads are meant to be at the same level, and then when you both stand up and you have to look way up or way down (as is more often my case with girls) you feel like it's wrong somehow.

^ That's exactly what I mean.

I have a friend who is 5'11 so we're both really tall. We were going out with another friend that we knew from an online forum but had never met in person. When we arrived to meet her, she was 5'0. My friend and I felt like bookends. lol

I'm 5'9 and 3/4ths heh. I've always wished I could claim that extra quarter of an inch and be 5'10! My mother is 5'6 and my father is unknown. He's either the father of my brothers, who was about 5'4, or someone else who was, well, who knows?

Also, I wish to add that I have 2 brothers who are both 10 years older than me and much shorter and skinnier than I am. I look so out of place in a family snap shot that it's ridiculous!

5ft no inches. I'm the tallest woman on my mothers side of the family by a good 2 inches. The funny thing is my sister is 4ft10 and she lies about her height< she tells everyone she's 5ft and I'm 5ft2> and gets mad at me when I don't lol like someone couldn't see that she is lying.

I was 5'2" before chiropractic treatment to correct scoliosis, 5'4.5" after. I guess I'm shorter than average because I have to cut 4-6" off the bottom of jeans in order to wear them.

... or am I supposed to wear platforms with them? I don't pay attention to the fashion things, but it just occurred to me that that's possibly why all pants are insanely long.

5 feet 1 or 2. Or something. Never got the height fuss, why do people think it matters?

In the 70s people would leave the length and wear platforms. But I think jeans are made really long universally because it's easier to have them come with the most length likely to be needed by anyone who buys it and shorten them, than it is to try and lengthen them.

I'm 5'3", but I'm also from a shorter-than-average family. I don't mind being short; if all else fails, I can jump.

However, it is going to be awkward when my little sister gets older, and then taller than me. :P

I was 5'9" (but have shrunk to 5'7 1/2") and had to buy men's jeans until the late 90s when they finally started selling women's jeans in three lengths (petite, reg, and finally, long). Capris were out of style in the 90s (and I always loved my peddle pushers) so I also bought petite jeans and give them just a bit of a cuff - voila, capris!! Now they are back in style (was it lil ole unfashionable me??)
