All that describes me. I'm not into trains but I like star gazing.

The table fits me perfectly, everything except having a degree. I almost cheered, because I have never seen myself described so perfectly. I feel understood, for the first time ever!

when I came across this list, it confirmed in my mind that I have aspergers. it made all my strange quirks and ways of thinking seem...the prototype. its as though whoever wrote that followed me down and scribbled down my behavior, like David Attenborough sneaking around some rare bird in the jungle.

Thank you for that list. I've said for years that I am different in certain ways from the 'traditional' AS lists, and now it's very clear I was correct. I fit this description but the differences between this and the regular AS list is what I was confused by. The 'regular' lists are concerning males.

This one is right.

I'm very floored by the list. Much of what has been listed has been true in my own experiences especially the one about injustice and being misunderstood. This is one major problem I still struggle with. As for the meltdowns, I try and hide them as best as I can which means going into my room and wanting to be left alone.

Oh gosh, this had me sitting here, nodding and feeling that it was nearly completely spot-on.

I never understood the concept of a girl's night out or a sleepover or going shopping. However I do like to just hang out with a friend, although it's mostly for the purpose of discussing some things and/or to... eat sandwiches. :P

I read through the list and the table and I must say that many traits describe me. Although I'm not really sure what an eccentric personality looks like, but that might be just me double checking on things. People do perceive me as quite weird apparently. It doesn't describe me to a T (whatever that exactly means), but most of it fits. Well I guess I have something to talk about with my doctor in 30 minutes.

I can't believe how much I match up to the list of traits. And all those growing up years I felt so alone and like the world's biggest freak sort of make more sense now. I did exactly that, because I went to sleepovers and had friends, but gradually I isolated myself waiting for something wonderful to happen so I would feel like an NT. I don't really have any friends and social life which is terribly hard on my husband and children. I was more social when we met and years later married.

I think it should be stressed about feeling half male/half female. I tend to identify with the male half much more and when I see things for women I cringe and avoid them. Anything specially made for women I avoid. Women's vitamins, books with women's perspectives - I think my brain reacts the same way a man's brain does when seeing those things like "that doesn't have anything to do with me"

Of course once a month I've always been reminded of the difference - and always horrified and miserable about it . One week ago I just had a hysterectomy. No choice, it was necessary, but I have to say I'm looking forward to moving forward WITHOUT that monthly problem. No more!! :D

Thanks to that list I am pretty sure I am in the right place.

Is hair twirling or stroking a female-type stimming?
