go on the pill

Yup. Going on the pill means you'll have your period once a month and you'll know exactly when it's going to happen. It can help with PMS too.

If you get any side effects - mood swings, breast size changing/tenderness, anything else, you MUST go back to the doctor and try a new type of pill. I know someone who was silly enough to keep taking it just because she liked that her boobs were getting bigger, yet her moods were worse than ever and it was bad for everyone around her! She eventually changed it as she couldn't afford any more new bras...

I still haven't seen a doctor; I had almost enough money, then, because I'm an idiot, I managed to get a bank overdraft in the same week that I had a bunch of bills due. :(
I appear to be alive, though, and eating foods that are rich in iron seems to be helping.
Worryingly, something is bleeding frequently inside my nose- every time I blow it, there is blood on the tissue.
I would very much like it if my blood would stay inside my body.

Are you taking any medications or natural remedies? Sometimes they can act as blood thinners which my cause the nose bleed or more frequent menstration. You should also try taking a vitamin K supplement. Do you bruise easily?

Blowing your nose can cause bleeding anyways, it's most likely just a small ruptured blood vessel and will heal itself. If it's a big bleed then I'd worry, but if it's just a little drip then just avoid blowing your nose as that'll keep aggravating the problem. Can you get the doctor to charge a bill at the end of every year instead of charging each visit?

I've been on it. It makes me violently ill.
I've tried another type which had the same effect, and the next option would be a more expensive one, and I have little enough money as it is.

No medications, no natural remedies.
I don't bruise at all easily; I walk into stuff all the time, and I have hardly a mark on me.

It wasn't heavy, but it wasn't the same as when I've ruptured blood vessels from blowing my nose- there was blood there CONSTANTLY for weeks.

My doctor does bulk bill sometimes, but not always, and asking him to would require being able to bring up a new topic of conversation, which is a communicative skill that I haven't quite got figured out.
