Goodwill and Old Navy. I love Old Navy's clothing, but it's a hassle going to the store since it's far from here and typically overcrowded.

I've started to do most of my clothes shopping at Maurices. I'll also get department store seconds, but thrift stores make me feel twitchy.

Thrift stores.

For basic items I will wear for years, online if there is a sale. Sometimes department stores but usually the clearance racks.

A lot of places. I love shopping at Torrid but will shop almost anywhere. I'm a plus size(proud of it too)so I mainly stick to stores that sell plus sizes. I'll go anywhere for accessories even if they don't sell my size range. I shop at Sephora for makeup.

I have a shopping addiction :P

I HATE CLOTHES SHOPPING!! ! I HATE CLOTHING STORES!! !
It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't need to try them on in the store (usually Wal-Mart). I absolutely cannot stand going into one of the dressing stalls, stripping down to my underwear, seeing every ounce of flab, every stretch mark, every mole, every scar and my pale complexion magnified 500% in the blazing florescent lights, then trying on new jeans and a top and discovering they either don't fit properly or I look hideous in them. But I look hideous in everything I wear. :( I also notice how ugly and frumpy my old clothes look in those rooms, all faded and worn and frayed. And if I'm shopping with my mother and want her to take the clothes I tried on and bring me something in a different size, she's nowhere to be seen and I have to change back into my ugly, smelly old clothes and wander around looking for her. Sometimes I think I'd like to become a nudist. No not really, Not when I can't even look at myself naked in the mirror. :( My mother actually finds it easier to clothes shop with my dad and doesn't like me making fun of how stupid the clothes look in the store, that they look they were made for clowns or 'rangatangs or anorexics (even if it's true). And of course all the clothes I DO like are almost always too small since the clothing people believe firmly that large women don't care about their appearance (not true).

I like walmart a lot, because I love t-shirts with sayings and cartoons and superheroes. I almost never buy pants. Right now I only own a pair of cammo pajama pants I use outside, a pair of jeans and a pair of sweats and lots of t-shirts with Iron man, the gooines, thunder cats the Kool-Aid man, a wolf, and my favorite shirt is a purple shirt with a baby blue and yellow batman symbol!

I hate shopping so I try to buy clothes online as much as possible -- American Eagle, Gap, Old Navy, Land's End, LL Bean, or Amazon. If I have to shop in a store, I'll usually go to Kohl's or Marshalls.

For me the clothes I wear are a way of self expression. I still don't have a clue how to have a conversation with someone. Most of the time I feel as though I have put my foot in my mouth.

I hate it. Lately I have been afraid to speak to anyone, other than the slightly younger man that I live with, because I frequently say something I shouldn't have.

I only shop online. I bought some sweet boots the other day... http://www.endless.com/s/ref=topnav_sk_ ... geCode%3Dd in black

Wal-Mart or the thrift store, or a store called Dot's, or a consignment boutique called Plato's Closet that has in-style stuff for mad cheap.

Style-wise, I love Charlotte Russe and Forever 21.

This past Chinese New Year I started to look at online shops for blouses and dresses which I don't need to try on before buying. Once I found a few shops I like (through ads on Facebook) I would follow their Facebook pages and look out for contests where they give away outfits or vouchers if you like and share their photos.

My favourite sites which ship beyond Singapore:
www.kristinescollection.com
www.theeditorsmarket.com (has a physical store in Orchard Road)

For people who can read traditional Chinese, there is this site selling limited edition T-shirts which will be on sale from 1 day to 5 days. Once a design is no longer sold, you can't get it any more:
www.buy365.com.tw

For shoes I favour Crocs. I did gardening as part of my previous job, so when my Crocs got soiled, I simply had to rinse them off with the hose and then once back at my desk with my feet out of view, take them off to air. I also don't have to worry about them getting wet if I am out and caught in a storm.

Thrift stores and yard sales. I break it sometimes-- for socks and underwear and the very occasional exactly perfect item on 90% clearance, or things we're immediately needing that I'm not having any luck finding, and now for DD11's shoes-- but actually I have a rule about not buying new clothing. Actually about not buying new ANYTHING if I can get it second-hand instead.

Sometimes I have to break down and bu camping/hiking or extreme cold weather gear new, but not very often since I've learned which fabrics to look for.

About the only things I always buy new are food (lol), tires, and Hubby's apparel. And I'll buy his clothes second-hand if I can find something to suit him in a 2XL (difficult) and get it washed and on a hanger before he sees the thrift store tag (easier).
