I don't think that is an entirly fair comment. People can look after themselves and still have spots or acne. Sometimes it's a hormonal problem. I feel like I have to wear make up to cover my acne. I would love to have a clear skin and wear no makeup at all, but I look blotchy without it.

I should note: what I consider eating very clean and what the rest of the population (or government guidelines, or most other people into health and fitness) does, are radically different.

And I know that, because I was in that percentage that you speak of previously. Most of it is caused by diet, genetics or hormones, but it's almost always fixable, the percentage that isn't is very minuscule.
But most people want quick fixes, not the long term ones necessary which require a lifestyle change.

I haven´t healthy skin either, but for me its one more cause to avoid make-up. So whenever I am forced to wear it, I get sprinkles all around my mouth and nose. Clearasil and that stuff only made it worse. I have inherited the skin from my father, he is 60 now, and still has sprinkles all over his face. My sister, who sold cosmetics during university, finally tested a cream on me from the company "Natural planet" with Aloe Vera (helps natural a bit against infections) and Propolis wax (Its in natural bee nests, the bees produce the propolis stuff, when they produce the wax, to fight bacterias in their nests.)

It stopped the sprinkles completly and unlike that clearasil stuff your skin doesnt feel that horribly as if you had washed yourself with alcohol, but it feels just normal fine. Normally I am very sensitive to all kind of creams, and my skin feels weird when I try one, but this one I liked. The cream is a bit expensive (about 22,00 EUR for a tube) but a tube lasts for me normally about a year (I normally use it once every 1-2 days in the morning.) and was until now the only stuff that worked on me. Hormones also could have helped, but I didnt want to try that.

Edit: Just looked for the producer and its in the USA. :) Forever Living Products, 7501 East McCormick Parkway Scottsdale, AZ85258 USA or www.foreverliving.com "Natural planet" I spoke of, is only the company that is offering the product in europe. :)

You're, right if you have skin issues, you should be avoiding make up.
Mine is very sensitive and that's why I don't wear it on a daily basis.

I should note that Inika do great skin care and make up products for sensitive skin, I haven't found anything better yet.
