Once you try men's underwear, you'll never go back. They won't put up with
the same discomfort that women will, it seems.

PS don't expect the sizes to be the same.

I hate bras. I have never had a comfortable one. I only wear them when going out or expecting company. I live alone, and due to health issues, don't go out much, so most of the time I am able to go bra-less. Because I am overweight, I can't go bra-less when going out, but on those rare occasions when I have to go out in the yard, if it's cold enough to wear a sweater or coat, I won't bother with a bra, as the clothing is bulky enough for me to get away with it for just around the yard. I have been losing weight lately, due to a diet that is working, so I will eventually have to buy some new bras. The regular ones always ride up on me, so I will try long line bras instead.

I am also not crazy about underpants, but do want to wear them. I prefer all cotton, but the styles I've tried are lousy. I've tried briefs, high cut ones, and flare leg briefs. They tend to chafe on the leg hole edges. I don't like shorter, panty styles. I am thinking of trying women's cotton boxers next. Those are longer, so they will hopefully be too long to chafe.

I love lingerie. I think it's so beautiful. Mum put me in boys nickers as a kid because the elastic lasted longer, and I always wanted the girls ones, so maybe that's why I love the VS lace panties. I get the boyshorts because I think they're the comfiest. I once tried a thong for sport and it was horrific. How do people wear them? I'm funny about uncomfortable clothes (I hate hats, scarves, jeans, and having to wear so many clothes in winter.) The first time my grandma put me in an underwire bra to fit my formal dress, I nearly started hyperventilating because I didn't like the pressure on my chest, but I now wear them whenever I leave the house. I'm only an 30A, so I don't wear them at home. I buy Victoria's Secret because they're so pretty and have rhinestones and lace. Those fancy ones have padding too, which, because I'm so small, just sits on my breasts like pillows. Puff puff. I currently have 9 and I show pictures of them to people because I get excited about them. I'm so happy they finally have their own drawer. ...yeah...I'm pretty sure bras are a special interest for me. haha.

I don't usually wear bras unless I am seeing my family and I only wear panties like if I'm in public sometimes. couldn't really care less if someone sees my nipples through my shirt honestly

I've had issues with bras for many years. I try to find a wirefree one and the ones that are wirefree tend to seem like they are too short and aren't long enough even though the size grouping is small to large. So, I always have to keep pulling it down and stretching it out because I feel like if I don't then it will ride all the way up my chest. Any thoughts or suggestions to help me out with this issue?

^ Have you tried any wirefree bras that come in band-cup sizes? Good brands like Calvin Klein or Victoria's Secret?

See I have a hard time with those because the size is so up and down and I hate them super tight around the chest because I feel suffocated with them that way so I like them a little loose. And there are ones with the cups that make it feel like the fat on my sizes is being squeezed out by the bottom and the side of the bra

^ Do you like sports bras? I have a Nike one called "Indy" that's pretty comfortable and it doesn't look like a typical sports bra. But you may still find that too tight. Your may like Free People bras. I haven't tried them but they all seem very comfortable. They tend to have very soft good quality fabric too.

I stopped wearing bras over a decade ago. I hate them. My breasts are supported by the chest muscle I've developed by bench pressing.

I just wish there were ones at stores like Walmart or Target that I could get that works for me, instead of having to order online.

^ I understand that would be ideal. In my experience, people like us need much better quality items when sensory sensitivities are involved. Target or Walmart items may be suitable for some, but if that's what you've been using that hasn't been working, it's good to try something with a better chance. Do you have any malls or department stores near you? Macy's, and Nordstrom Rack sell these brands in-store. If you're lucky enough to live in a metro area, the brands may also have brick and mortar stores of the own nearby.

Well Target has Playtex, and Warner bras that are a little more expensive that I haven’t tried. I wonder if those brands would be good.

I wear stretchy sports bras only. Tried the other kinds for years; finally gave up on them. They never fit comfortably.

Underwire is the devil.

When I hit puberty I only wore sports bras, but now that wireless bras and bralettes are things, I buy mostly those.

Panties, I like lace and glitter and bowties.... but it has to all be high end stuff, with soft lace and soft glitter woven into the fabric. I can't stand that scratchy cheap stuff.

So I spend a ton of money on underwear. Because I'm so picky

^ weirdly enough I'm partial to wired bras because for me they feel more secure. Though, sometimes they bother my ribs.

Curious how much you tend to spend per pair of underwear? I have major sensory issues with underwear. I probably spend between $5-12 per pair and think I've tried just about every style ever made. They all seem to bother me in different ways. They ride up and don't stay in place, the edges around the legs rub or constrict my skin, they're too tight down there, the fabric pulls hair, etc cetera. It drives me crazy.

Sometimes I see pairs that are $20-30 and I wonder if they are actually any better? I tend to prefer spending a bit more to get quality items, but I guess with underwear I've been hesitant because I don't know at what point it just becomes needlessly over priced.
