My son has Aspergers.......I am struggling with depression.

But I would love a new friend that understands the world isn't perfect and I really don't fit in it.

The OP might have a bunch of friends by now, but I'm also one of those who sucks at making new friends, especially here on WP... I'm not going to publish my information publicly, but those who'd like to get in touch can PM me.

I'm not good at describing myself either, maybe a few of my posts on WP can give a little bit of an overview. :)

You are all invited to join my circle of friend. Seriously, other than my SO, I have one real friend, well maybe two. I am really only interested in people who can interact with me in the world of ideas, tell me where and when I have my head up my ass, and not feel personally attacked when I challenge any ideas that they may have. I get off on thinking, as opposed to what seems to excite most people, to wit: making nice sounds at each other, and emoting over entertainent of "fun things"

In exchange you get mentally challenged and honesty. After hearing me tell you why your view of something is seriously flawed, and offering evidence to support this assertion, you will have no doubt that when I tell you that an idea is good, or otherwise offer praise, than I am not just offering flattery.

If you wish to see into my mind, visit xfoolnature.org. And just to disabuse of the idea that I tend to mindlessly rant, if you enter the two terms orwells boot into any search engine, that item that comes back at the top of the list out of a million or so hits is mine :-)

I'm up for PM's too!

I love art, music, animals, writing, reading, cooking and learning new things.

I have a huge imagination and daydream a lot. I also find the world around me magical and enjoy peaceful places. I also like to be in the outdoors, especially places where I can sit and read or just enjoy the feel of nature around me.
