I have the classic male and AS craft obsession: model railways.

I've found various special niches within that field, putting trains in my garden, building them in the style of my favourite cartoonist, and making odd display trains for Christmas and other themes.
I also built one for my local Chldren's hospital. Some pictures (the bottom two folders) at:

I had a strong interest in glass blowing but never acquired the equipment to do so.

Glass-blowing is something I've loved to watch, but never attempted myself. Speaking of glass, I like making stained glass ornaments and doing windows. The ornaments are called 'sun-catchers' and those I make by cutting out pieces of colored glass from recycled materials like broken bottles, glass dishes and so on. When I do the stained-glass look on windows, I use the paint-on kind (looks like glue at first, but then dries clear/colored). I like the quaint look of them as well as the colors thrown into the room when the sun shines through it. I'm also experimenting with macrame & stained glass wind chimes as well.

Other artsy interests/obsessions are:

Digital and 35mm photography
computer graphic design (which I do for a living)
Drawing with pencil & oil crayons
Painting with oil & acrylics
cultivating Bonsai trees
Crochet & macrame
Sewing quilts by hand and by machine using recycled cloth
Making braided rugs

wow..I can't believe I have not responded to this thread yet.
This is partially what my life revolves around. Right now I am making 3 small bunnies. They might be devil bunnies....

p.s. the guy holding the "devil moose" is my ex-bandmate, who is also on the spectrum

Creative pursuits I have engaged in and/or obsessed upon during my lifetime (so far):

Drawing, painting, poetry, writing fiction, haiku/senryu, gourd pyrography, crochet, photography, "found objects" art, jewelry, pottery (briefly in college - kilns are not known for portability), "punch yarn" rugs (as a kid), macrame, and cross stitch.

Currently renewing my obsession with crochet and discovering the wide world of amigurumi!! :albino:

I discovered patchwork quilts when I was 17 and when I see a beautiful quilt I still feel it right in my gut... I almost wish I could ingest it in some way. Lately I prefer to sew by hand; I find it soothing. I also get really excited about designing quilts; it keeps me up at night. I've designed hundreds of quilts; they're very beautiful. Unfortunately my special interests never last for more than two or three months at a time, and it takes me much longer than that to complete a quilt, so I've only ever completed one quilt (but it brings me great pleasure: ooh, pretty fabrics...). Which is a source of anxiety every time I get back into it: "Oh this is never going to get anywhere." Actually that's a source of anxiety every time I start/restart an interest...

I collect quilts, but have only made one.

lately I have been making really strange cloth/bottlecap dolls...I am excited and very glad I did not get rid of all my hoarded thousands of bottlecaps.

I love to crochet! It is one of my favorite hobbies! I have made scarves and pillows before and now I am working on some afghans; they take a long time.

Anything and everything to do with string. I'm worse than any kitten you ever saw! I do spinning, weaving (3 different types), knitting, crocheting, tatting, bobbin lace making, naalbinding, sprangwork, French handsewing, embroidering, smocking, split-fiber interlacing, crewel working, machine quilting, natural and synthetic dyeing, beadworking of all kinds, you name it. My husband jokes about attempting to keep it confined to one room.

Yes! Currently, sewing, knitting, finishing furniture (my husband is an amateur carpenter), making jewelry, embroidery (cross stitch, full stitch, and beading), and tapestry, but I'm dying to learn other kinds of embroidery and crochet. And I fantasize about having a loom. I'd love to learn to weld jewelry too. All these except for the loom are things I want to do still this year. I know how to use a loom, but I don't have the room for one, so that is for a further future.
I've also been on a green kick and making my own cleaning products and body butter and body oils.

Things I currently do: knitting, crocheting, cross-stich, quilting by hand (still learning)

Things I have done: macrame, friendship bracelets, quilling, latch hook, needlepoint

Things I would like to learn: beading, sewing clothing

I'm currently researching turning my needlework obsession into an online business. :)

I tried to make soap from lye and fat once. It was terrible.

I love sewing and making dolls. For my first doll, I made a doll of Abel Nightroad from Trinity Blood, and for my next project I plan on making a doll of my original character, Amelia.

I do crochet when I have the time. It's beyond calming.

Hmm I wouldn't call it an obsession but I do enjoy drawing and I'm thinking of taking up scrapbooking.
