I thought it was the other way around? They made the chest exploding Alien baby look like a penis to symbolize something gross?

It seems like they would make the chest exploding alien look like a penis so movie-goers would be more likely to recommend the film to friends due to subliminal sexual images that had made an unconscious impression, increasing profits.
